Hiding from the people who killed her father, heiress Lili Abbington takes on the persona of mousy Kate Abbot. In the employ of Abbington Industries, she is so far down on the food chain she is hardly noticed in the clerical pool. With her beloved dog Tulip, she lives a quiet, simple life; far different from the one she had been known since birth. She is amused by the devil-may-care attitude of the man she meets in an internet chatroom. They share a semi-flirtatious through instant messages.

It seems Chase Scott manages to live in the gray area between the legal and illegal of life. Ferreting Kate out, he arrives at Abbington Industries with a bouquet of red roses for the plain, modest clerical. Clearly not impressed by the glib charmer, she reluctantly allows him into her life.

Then suddenly Kate and Chase are on the run together – but who is pursuing them? Her father’s killer? Or his disgruntled clients – or both?

I have two songs I am using as inspiration pieces for the story: Force of Gravity by BT (sung by JC Chasez) and The Hush by Texas.
